A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy, welcoming research institute as a Morning Receptionist, with some additional administrative responsibilities.
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a supportive team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain experience within a dynamic and professional environment.
As the first point of contact for the Institute, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional impression. You will need strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a friendly and approachable manner.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Deliver excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and external contacts
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
- Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence when interacting with a wide range of people
- Use IT systems confidently and efficiently
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 08:30-12:45 (21.25 hours per week)
- Flexibility to occasionally cover afternoon hours (12:45 - 17:00) would be desirable
