"Movement Disorders - Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical Neurology Series"

The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a board eligible or board certified physician with a passion for caring for patients with movement disorders. The successful candidate will contribute to specialty and interdisciplinary clinics at UCI Health, deliver exceptional clinical care, and have opportunities for research and education of residents, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows.

Candidates should have experience in a collaborative neurosciences center, dedication to patients and families, and involvement in professional societies. Teaching and clinical research experience is desirable. Candidates must hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Neurology and fellowship training in Movement Disorders.

The UCI Neurology Movement Disorders Program provides comprehensive care for conditions including Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, Lewy Body disease, Huntington's disease, dystonia, tic disorders, chorea, myoclonus, and atypical parkinsonism. It includes multidisciplinary teams, a strong DBS program, botulinum toxin treatments, and collaborations with pediatric specialists. Research opportunities are supported through the CIRM-funded UCI Alpha Stem Cell Clinic and the Center for Clinical Research.

The program offers a UCNS-certified fellowship and educational programs for various levels of learners. The Department emphasizes diversity and inclusive excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Salary Range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) includes AAMC benchmarks for Neurology from $220,000.00 - $289,940.00. For more details, see the UC salary scales and the Professorial Series Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
