Nature and Level of Work
Perform skilled work on a journey level in the installation, maintenance, service and repair of all components of hydronic heating, cooling, and steam systems and equipment. All work is subject to spot checking and inspection for conformance to specifications and accepted standards of the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain water, air, vacuum, gas, and chemical distribution lines and systems; steam and condensate return distribution lines and systems, all ranging from standard systems to specialized installations.
- Cut, thread, and join pipe, acetylene and electric cutting and welding. Insulate and paint lines and equipment as required. Drill holes in walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Clean, maintain, safely operate and properly store all tools and equipment.
- Observe and enforce all safety requirements related to equipment operation.
- May perform or assist in the preparation of cost estimates, material orders, reports and maintenance of records.
- May be required to operate a backhoe and other construction equipment.
- May assist with snow removal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
