Multimedia Designer (Science Dean's Office)

Job Description

The Faculty of Science is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Multimedia Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, storytelling, visual consistency and a meticulous eye for detail. You will be responsible for bringing ideas to life by blending text, graphics, video and animation into a cohesive piece of content. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience using current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverables.

Primary Jobscope

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Content creation: Execute design and production across multiple platforms including print media, websites, social media, infographics, motion assets, graphics, corporate presentations and other marketing assets
  • Content adaptation: Adapt and optimise multimedia content for various platforms
  • Campaign conceptualisation: Develop creative concepts, storyboards and themes for campaigns
  • Asset management: Organise, manage and archive assets, project files and content libraries using a content management system
  • Best practices: Research and stay updated on industry trends to apply new and innovative styles into projects

Secondary Jobscope

Work with the team in other areas of work, which include, but are not limited to, events management, digital marketing and engagement with stakeholders to support outreach.

  • Education: Relevant degree / diploma
  • Experience: At least five years of proven professional experience
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating creative skills in a diverse range of projects and media
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with web design principles
  • Soft skills: Problem-solving (ability to overcome design challenges and deliver creative solutions); time management (ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines); attention to detail; adaptability to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI platforms for design
  • Candidates are required to submit your portfolios when applying.
