Position Summary
The Department of Political Science at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Native American Studies affiliate faculty may teach courses in Native American Studies, including Introduction to Native American Studies, Native American Politics, and Federal Indian Law.
Responsibilities
Affiliate faculty instructors of Native American Studies may teach 3 - 9 credit hours in a variety of courses in our Native American Studies program, including Introduction to Native American Studies, Native American Politics, and Federal Indian Law. We have particular needs for qualified instructors to teach Federal Indian Law, but other topics can be taught in the instructor's area of expertise. There are opportunities to teach both in person and online.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Native American Studies or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Native American Studies or a closely related field; or JD plus experience in Native American law
- Higher education teaching experience in Native American Studies
- Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population
