Join Our Caring and Dynamic Neurology Team working to better the lives of Mid-Missourians. The School of Medicine and the Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Specialty Care for multiple settings. These positions provide vital clinical support for the MU Department of Neurology & Sleep Disorders Clinic.

Opportunity Highlights:

Inpatient Role

• Full-time FTE: 13 12-hour shifts per month
• Schedule includes some weekend coverage
• Collaborative team of six NP/PAs in the Neurocritical Care Unit
• Flexible scheduling with multiple days off
• No call required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent and collaborative care for neurological patients in an outpatient setting
• Communicate with physicians regarding clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
• Respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes
• Perform treatments and interventions, educate patients and families, and facilitate clinical research
• Utilize basic computer skills, problem-solving abilities, and adapt to varied work settings

Shift

Variable shift up to 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing degree. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
