Description
The Department of Neurosurgery at Yale School of Medicine is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor with expertise in general neurosurgery, spine and subspecialty interest in the surgical treatment of brain tumors. The interested candidate should have completed an ACGME accredited neurosurgical residency and be interested in joining a busy clinical program. Fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology in primary tumors is required for this position. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent and be board certified or board eligible.
Qualifications
The candidate should be facile in the surgical management of spinal disorders and brain tumors with a focus and emphasis on complex primary brain and skull-based tumors (i.e. gliomas, meningiomas, schwannomas). The candidate will be joining a high volume neurosurgical practice with a heavily integrated research enterprise and will be able to develop a robust practice while having the guidance and mentorship of our team. The applicant should have a strong interest in teaching and mentoring with an excellent team of residents and fellows, as well as be committed to enhancing our field with contributions through clinical/translational or basic science research.
