Nontenure Faculty Pool - Department of Computer Science

Position Description

The Department of Computer Science seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty positions to teach a range of courses at the undergraduate level. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is for the fall 2026, spring 2027, and summer semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for this pool faculty position will be available to the Department of Computer Science search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience teaching undergraduate computer science courses as the instructor of record.
Ph.D. in computer science or a related area.
Industry experience.
