Nontenure Faculty Pool - Health Administration

Position Description

The School of Health Administration seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to two courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based on student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos, Round Rock campuses, and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters.

Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists.

Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

Required Qualifications

Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.
