The NP/PA will make referrals to other healthcare providers and/or consult the physician for further definitive therapy, order and evaluate appropriate non-invasive diagnostic tests and procedures. The NP/PA will instruct and counsel patients on health care, health maintenance, medical problems, treatment plans, nutrition or other related issues as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in Nursing (foreign equivalent or higher). Current registration to practice as a Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State. Must have excellent communication skills. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited Physician assistant (PA) school. Current license and certificate to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA). Must have excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience treating and managing pediatric neurology patients. Experience working in a fast paced, high volume practice. Experience using EMR.
