Job Description

Cabrillo College is accepting applications for temporary, part-time faculty assignments in Nursing, specifically for N12 Maternal Health and Nursing Fundamentals I. This position involves applying the Neuman Systems Model and the nursing process to provide nursing care in perinatal and medical-surgical settings.

Examples of Duties

• Teach assigned classes, which may include evening or off-campus assignments.
• Engage in participatory governance committees and initiatives.
• Maintain records of student enrollment, attendance, and progress.
• Provide academic assistance during scheduled office hours.
• Cooperate in District investigations and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
• Complete required District trainings.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree with courses in nursing or relevant sciences, plus direct patient care experience in perinatal and medical-surgical settings within the last five years. Must have a current, active California Registered Nursing License and Basic Life Support Certification. Understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds is essential.

Desired Qualifications

Includes successful online teaching experience, Master's degree or higher, and experience teaching diverse populations.

Salary and Application
