"Open Positions - Specialist Series UCI MIND 2025-26"

Position Overview

Specialist positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) at the University of California, Irvine. These are typically grant-funded positions under the sponsorship of various faculty members. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated, with neuroscience or translational research experience strongly preferred. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Term appointments are based on performance and availability of funding.

Qualifications

• Junior Specialists: Possess a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) or equivalent research experience.
• Assistant Specialists: Possess a Master's degree (or equivalent) or 5 years of experience.
• Associate Specialists: Possess a Master's degree (or equivalent) or 5-10 years of experience.
• Specialists: Possess a terminal degree (PhD/MD) (or equivalent) or 10+ years of experience.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$194,800. 'Off-scale salaries' are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
