Job Summary:
The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking applicants to fill a full time (1.0 FTE) faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level at the UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers (SAR) Eye Center at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The position will provide outpatient medical management of uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease and affiliate sites of practice within the Denver metropolitan area. Faculty members enjoy the benefit of joining a well-established, expanding department with a collegial atmosphere that includes clinicians and basic scientists in an academic medical center setting. Our faculty pursue innovation, intellectual discourse and participation in an academic practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care at University of Colorado UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers (SAR) Eye Center in the medical management of ophthalmic disorders and specifically of ocular inflammation.
- The position will be responsible for expanding the uveitis and ocular immunology practice as well as a commitment to resident/fellowship teaching, directing the uveitis fellowship, and basic or clinical research.
- Actively collaborate with other teams within the department in the development of diagnosis and therapy for other inflammation-related diseases.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:
- MD with approved residency training in ophthalmology including fellowship training in uveitis and ocular inflammation
- Extensive experience in managing ocular inflammation
Associate Professor:
- MD with approved residency training in ophthalmology including fellowship training in uveitis and ocular inflammation
- Extensive experience in managing ocular inflammation
- Nationally recognized in ocular immunology and inflammatory diseases
Preferred Qualifications (all ranks):
- Key Opinion Leader in the field of Uveitis and Ocular Inflammation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and proficiency in clinical management of uveitis and ocular inflammation
- Demonstrated interest in teaching medical students, residents and fellows is preferred
- Additional knowledge and interest in comprehensive ophthalmology, corneal disease or medical/surgical retina is preferred.
Anticipated Pay Range:
HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $220,000 to $250,000
Associate Professor: $240,000 to $275,000
