The Dental College of Georgia (DCG), Department of Pediatric Dentistry, at Augusta University (AU), is seeking a Pediatric Dentist or Orthodontic faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Additional responsibilities include clinical and didactic support of the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
Responsibilities
Teaching 60% - Participate in the departmental teaching responsibilities. These efforts will be primarily in the areas of Pediatric Dentistry, but may also include any of the other departmental teaching areas. This will include lectures, seminars, laboratories, clinical supervision and related activities at the predoctoral and postdoctoral level. Participate in The Dental College of Georgia committee activities and assume responsibilities as appropriate.
Research 10% - Engage in research and scholarly activities at a level to provide adequate development in academic achievement.
Clinical/Patient Care 25% - Perform patient care through the DCG Dental Practice Group in order to maintain practice skills and provide treatment for patients.
Service 5% - Engage in university or external professional or service activities as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
DMD/DDS from a CODA accredited United States or Canadian dental school. Completion of a CODA accredited Advanced Education in Orthodontics or Pediatric Dentistry program. Diplomate status in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or American Board of Orthodontics.
BLCS certification
Unrestricted license to practice Pediatric Dentistry or Orthodontics or credentials to apply for a teaching license.
