Open Rank Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The University of Maryland School of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time Open-rank non-tenure track faculty position for Assistant Dean for Admissions and Recruitment. The Assistant Dean for Admissions and Recruitment provides strategic, collaborative, and mission aligned leadership for all recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes within the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD).
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and implement a school wide admissions strategy aligned with UMSOD's mission, enrollment goals, and commitment to inclusive excellence.
- Provide strategic leadership for recruitment and admissions initiatives.
- Recruitment & Outreach
- Lead targeted recruitment efforts.
- Oversee campus visits, virtual sessions, interview days, recruitment fairs, and community events.
- Admissions Operations & Application Management
- Oversee the holistic review process.
- Provide leadership for admissions committees.
- Data, Reporting & Accreditation
- Collect, analyze, and interpret admissions data.
- Provide required admissions data for accreditation.
- Team Leadership & Budget Oversight
- Supervise and mentor admissions staff.
- Oversee the admissions budget.
- Collaboration & Schoolwide Engagement
- Partner with departments, program directors, Student Affairs, and Development.
- Represent UMSOD on internal and national committees.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a DDS/DMD or PhD and have experience in a School of Dentistry educational environment. Experience working in admissions and recruitment related activities strongly preferred.
