The USF College of Nursing seeks a full-time, non-tenure track, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner faculty member for an open-rank appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
Responsibilities
The faculty member will teach graduate-level nursing courses using face-to-face didactic, online, clinical, and laboratory instructional modalities; serve as a liaison between the USF College of Nursing and designated clinical facilities, which may require some travel; mentor and advise graduate nursing students; participate in program development, curriculum review, and ongoing assessment activities; conduct clinical site oversight and student evaluation; engage in scholarly activity, including publications and professional presentations, in accordance with university criteria for appointment by rank; serve on appropriate college and university committees; and participate in community engagement and professional service activities commensurate with rank.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor Level.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and listed with the Florida Department of Health by the date of appointment.
- Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) certification by the start date.
- Evidence of scholarly or professional achievement, including publications, presentations, creative work, or research in peer-reviewed or professional venues.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with technology-supported instructional methods (online or blended learning environments).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community and clinical partners.
- Experience teaching diverse student populations.
- Current, relevant clinical practice.
- Experience teaching in an academic graduate nursing program.
