Position Description
The University Library is hiring a forward-thinking and collegial Public Health Information Specialist (open rank, non-tenure track faculty) to support key areas of research, teaching, and learning in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University.
Required Experience
- Two (2) years of experience with research databases and methods in public health
- Experience providing online or in-person teaching or training
Required Education
Master’s degree in library/information science or a terminal degree in public health or related field.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Experience working collaboratively on research projects with graduate students and/or faculty.
- Experience supporting evidence synthesis work in public health or related field(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of tools that support evidence synthesis work.
- Knowledge of trends and new developments in teaching, student learning, and student success in higher education.
- Knowledge of trends and new developments in research and the use of technology in delivering library and information services in higher education.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Salary $61,100-$72,600
Work Hours Twelve-month assignment, faculty rank, non-tenure track
