In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $25.00 Hourly
Maximum: $30.32 Hourly
Job Summary
The Operations Coordinator supports the College of Veterinary Medicine. This individual will be relied on to provide accurate data and assist in the execution of various short, medium, and long-term projects as deemed necessary to carry out the mission of the College and University.
Position reports to the Assistant Director of Operations for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with diverse units and personalities within the College and across the University.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
- Expert level Excel user with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
- Ability to use multiple computer programs as needed to accomplish essential job functions (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.). Experience with MS Project helpful.
- Organizational skills necessary to prioritize workload to meet long and short-term deadlines.
- Flexibility in job assignments to meet departmental priorities and emerging or unplanned initiatives.
- Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments with accuracy and consistency, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to interact effectively with administration, faculty, staff, and students is a top priority.
- Advanced mathematical skills, including the ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
• Experience: 4-6 years support staff experience in a large, high volume office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Organizational Management or related field preferred.
Experience:
• Prior experience in an office setting assisting with operations planning or budgeting preferred.
