Responsibilities
- Conducts information sessions and assists with the adjudication of cases for students and organizations charged with a violation of the Student Conduct Code and Student Organization Conduct Code. Maintains records regarding cases. Coordinates the training of outside agencies involved in student conduct matters and educational programming regarding students, staff, and student organizations. Serves as the primary manager of student organization conduct issues.
- Maintains high level contact with students, parents, faculty, staff, campus partners, attorneys, legal counsel offices, and other external stakeholder regarding student and student organization conduct issues. Coordinates with appropriate internal and external stakeholders regarding all non-Title IX-related formal hearings, including single administrator and administrative panels.
- Assist the Assistant Dean in the training of student organization conduct hearing officers and maintains training materials in accordance with the Student Organization Conduct Code and university policy and procedure.
- Attend, prepare for and actively participate in weekly meetings with Divisional of Student Affairs colleagues including but not limited to Investigations and Assessment, Fraternity and Sorority Life and Student Organizations and Involvement. Update the Student Organization spreadsheet as appropriate and address the status of cases involving student organizations.
- Assist the Assistant Dean with the coordination of trainings for fraternity and sorority and student organization student conduct boards in accordance with the Student Organization Conduct Code and university policy and procedure.
- In coordination with all Student Conduct and Community Standards staff, assists with recommending, developing, updating, implementing policies and procedures, and all other duties as assigned.
- Represents the Department while serving on appropriate University committees including but not limited to the Hazing Prevention Committee
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
