Part-time and Limited Term Faculty Positions in Human Services
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Social Work and Human Services for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate courses in the Human Services Program in the teaching discipline of Human Services, Nonprofit Management, and/or Child Advocacy Studies.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Children and Youth Studies or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- OR A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of teaching and working with various community agencies
- Demonstrated understanding (i.e., professional experience and theoretical knowledge) of the field of Human Services
- Prior teaching at the university/college level
- Professional work experience in human services and/or nonprofit management
- The ability to teach one or more of the following courses: Research Methods; Aging and the Family; Dynamics of Family Violence; Death, Dying and Bereavement; Child Maltreatment; Child Advocacy; Nonprofit Management; or Human Services Field Experience Instruction
- Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
