Part-time and Limited Term Faculty Positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education (Literacy Education)
Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in literacy education
- Collaborating with program and literacy faculty
- Supervising student teaching and/or clinical placements
- Gathering and scoring necessary assessment data for accreditation purposes
- Participating in faculty meetings, program meetings and literacy meetings
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Literacy or Reading Education or a closely related field with at least 18 hours of relevant literacy or reading graduate semester hours.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a K-5 teacher.
- Experience, expertise or focused training in the Science of Reading.
Preferred Qualifications
- University teaching experience
- Online teaching experience
