COMPENSATION
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
SUMMARY
Assists management in providing support to create an environment that promotes teamwork, continuous improvement, learning, customer satisfaction and high standards of service. Effectively manages workload, achieves production, and provides quality services to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists management by preparing event paperwork and post event reports.
- Assists management by ensuring that all company and department procedures and guidelines are in place for provision of quality products and services and communicates with management regarding events and catering operations.
- Ensures that all employees are in proper uniform, all company policies, procedures and practices are followed and takes appropriate action when needed.
- Checks event equipment for accuracy and organizes and assigns staff tasks for the event.
- Supervises and assists staff on event procedures and customer service.
- Coordinates event details with Event Managers.
- Communicates with employees regarding goals and expectations for the event.
- Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and notifies management of any customer relations issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Oversees proper clean up and end of event procedures in accordance to Catering standards.
- Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) degree; with at least six months of experience in food service/retail operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal skills, self motivation, and organization skills required. Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.
