About the Department

At Georgia State University Perimeter College, Business Administration students develop specialized skills in business fields and improve their ability to communicate, think independently and thrive in the workplace. Perimeter College faculty members have practical experience in a variety of industries. By drawing upon this experience in the classroom, they provide students with real-world examples to complement business theories.

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Required Education

To qualify to teach COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS, applicants MUST have: A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Teaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to teach COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS courses on the collegiate level
  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
  • Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology

Work Hours

Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.

Salary

$3375.00 for each 3-semester credit hour course taught
