Job Description
Oakton College is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Onsite Job Coach to assist with students who are participating in a Gateways Level 1 Early Childhood Education program. This program provides neurodiverse students who are enrolled in transitional programs, with an opportunity to have a paid internship in the early childhood education industry. In this short-term position, the Onsite Job Coach will assist daycare staff with guiding and managing students during their 4-week engagement.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- The primary role of this position is to assist in maintaining an environment conducive to learning and working
- Assist daycare staff with student management
- Work collaboratively with facility Director and Managers
Job Requirements:
- Illinois Paraprofessional license, substitute teaching license, professional Educator license, or equivalent experience
- Experience assisting with special education students
- Willing and able to meet the needs of students
- Must be enthusiastic about working with a special needs population
- Willingness to learn and assist in the evolution of this new pilot program
Additional Information:
Training Dates: April 28 - May 21, 2026
Location: New Trier Childcare Center (Bright Horizons Northfield)
Days/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
Pay: $25/hr
