Part-Time EDUCATION Instructor (Applicant Pool)

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in EDUCATION who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Required Experience

• K-12 teaching experience is required.

Required Education

To qualify to teach EDUCATION, applicants must have: A minimum of a master’s degree in Education, and must be certified (or eligible for certification) to teach in the state of Georgia. A Ph.D. or Ed.D is preferred. Graduate coursework should focus on K-12 education and curriculum, as opposed to adult education, educational psychology, counseling education, higher education, or educational leadership or administration.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

College teaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to teach EDUCATION courses on the collegiate level
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations, etc

Must be certified (or eligible for certification) to teach in the state of Georgia.

Work Hours

Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.

Salary

$3075.00 for each 3-semester credit hour course taught
