Position Title:

Part-Time Faculty, Fashion

Salary/Pay Rate:

$1,250 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

Job Summary:

The School of Communication & The Arts invites applications for various Part-Time Faculty positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters or Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, and/or Industry/professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous University level teaching experience.

Essential Functions:

Opportunities are available to teach in one or more areas across several disciplines over time. Subject matter includes: Fashion Social Media - taught from 6:30pm - 9:00pm on Wednesday's throughout the Spring, 2026 semester. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate courses that may be available in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is desired.

The Fashion Program at Marist successfully prepares its students to enter the world of fashion and pursue careers in merchandising, planning, product development, retailing, operations, fashion promotion, event production, and a gamut of other employment opportunities. Students gain the skills, knowledge and internship experiences within an encouraging academic environment to help them flourish in the fashion industry. The Fashion Program is housed in the School of Communication and the Arts, which prepares students for careers in communication, media, fashion & art practices, building valuable skills that complement a foundation in a liberal arts education.
