Part-time Faculty, Healthcare Administration ? Health Professions (Term)

Teaches courses within the Healthcare Administration program and related curricula.

Involvement in all aspects of didactic and practical instruction as needed.

Assists with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Fosters a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Remains current regarding advancements in the field of Healthcare Administration and related disciplines to integrate relevant information into the curricula.

Collaborates with colleagues to enhance the overall academic experience and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.

Monitors student progress, advise students, record grades/academic progress, and submit reports as requested.

Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:

Certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

At least a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field; certified as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); practical/industry experience in the professional discipline; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in healthcare administration or related field; previous teaching experience at the college/community college level; previous experience as a program director in healthcare administration or related academic programs at the college/community level.

Physical Requirements:

In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
