Part-time Faculty Pool - Non Teaching Faculty - Mental Health Counselor

Basic Functions

Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of part-time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part-time non-instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

Part-time Non-instruction Salary Rate

The starting credit part-time rate from salary table 9 is $55.14 per hour non-Lecture. If you have a doctorate, the rate is $57.80 per hour non-Lecture

Education and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook.

Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, OR The equivalent. (NOTE: A license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline, pursuant to title 5, section 53410.1), OR A combination of education and other accomplishments that are equivalent to the above.
