Pay Range: $21,000 - $25,000 per course
Pay Determination:
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
School of Architecture seeks part-time instructors to teach architecture design studio during the Fall (6 credits) and/or Spring (6 credits) semester(s). Teaching is at the undergraduate level.
Qualifications:
A professional degree in Architecture is required, as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
Job Specific Qualifications:
- The School is particularly interested in candidates with teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program.
- Candidates with strong intellectual and creative direction are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must possess professional design experience and demonstrate a record of recognized creative work which may include built/unbuilt work, installations or publications.
- The School is committed to supporting those from all backgrounds in its student population, faculty, and curriculum.
Responsibilities:
Those of a part time faculty member teaching a 6 credit hour design studio, per semester, including:
- Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
- Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
