Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part-Time Criminal Justice Instructor Include but Are Not Limited to:
- This position's primary responsibility is teaching live classes, both day and evening, at any of the three main CSN campuses.
- Lecture for a variety of criminal justice courses.
- Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day or evening classes.
- Develop lesson plans, syllabi, and course materials in conjunction with Department Chair.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university.
- A JD will be considered with appropriate experience in criminal justice.
- At least 5 years of experience working directly for a criminal justice agency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching college criminal justice or related courses.
- Experience with CANVAS or other online learning management systems.
- Flexibility of schedule to teach live classes at any of the three main campuses during the morning, afternoon, or evening.
Starting Salary
$925 per lecture credit hour
