"Part - Time Instructor, Fine Arts - Jewelry - FY 2026"

Job Description

The Art Instructor conducts classes for the Department of Fine Arts, Art Program, predominantly teaching Jewelry courses. Other teaching assignments in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture or Art Appreciation may be given. Courses taught may be in-person or online. Instructors are expected to take part in regularly scheduled instructional meetings, professional development, and to complete and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.

• Assigned courses, days, times and/or locations may vary from semester to semester.
• Assignments may be any combination of classroom and online modes.
• Assignments may be located on any combination of CSN's several campuses.
• Assignments may be any combination of morning, afternoon, and evening hours.
• Assignments may be any combination of any days of the week including weekends.
• Assignments may be any combination of courses for which instructor is qualified.

Fall and Spring classes run 8-16 weeks, 1-2 days a week, approximately 1 hours to 3 hours each class at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas valley. Summer classes run 6 weeks, 4 days a week for approximately 4 hours per day at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas valley.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the Fine Arts or related field from a regionally accredited college/university and experience with Jewelry, Metalsmithing, Sculpture, Foundry or related fields.

$925.00 Per instructional unit. $46.25 per lab hour
