Part-Time Instructor of English
Job Summary
The School of Arts and Sciences at Dalton State College invites applicants for a part-time Instructor of English. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching beginning courses in English as well as additional courses in their area of expertise. Teaching assignments will be face-to-face during the day and afternoon.
A complete application must include (1) a letter of interest, (2) a curriculum vita, and (3) transcripts of all college work. Unofficial transcripts will suffice for initial screening however official transcripts will be required upon employment.

Salary is determined by Highest level of Education completed.
Successful candidates will teach face-to-face in the morning and afternoon.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory courses in English at the undergraduate level.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must hold an earned Masters degree from an accredited college with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English or a closely related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- College classroom teaching experience.
- Earned doctorate.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online classrooms.
- Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and use applied learning approaches.
