Part - Time Instructor, Philosophy - FY 2026
Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to volume of applications received.
CSN is looking to hire part-time instructors to teach Philosophy courses (mostly PHIL 102, Introduction to Critical Thinking). Job responsibilities also include developing syllabi and course materials as well as evaluation of mastery of skills and competencies as required by course outcomes. Successful candidates are expected to provide an excellent teaching experience, engage in student advisement and participate in assessment of General Education (Institutional), Program, and Course outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Philosophy (Ph.D. preferred) from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught (also from a regionally accredited college or university).
Salary Information
$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
