Job Summary
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Based on the recent Proclamation: Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.
Responsibilities
Department Summary
The Department of Human Services seeks part-time faculty to teach courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Counselor Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, Educational Psychology, and Industrial Organizational Psychology.
The Counselor Education, Educational Psychology, and Industrial Organizational Psychology programs are fully online programs. In these programs, some courses require online synchronous meetings with students (e.g., Practicum and Internship), and some courses are fully asynchronous.
The Marriage and Family Therapy program is taught fully in-person, on campus in Valdosta, GA.

Required Qualifications
Counselor Education
- Ph.D. in Counselor Education
Marriage and Family Therapy
- Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- Experienced clinician
- AAMFT Approved Supervision Certification or Georgia State board equivalent
Educational Psychology
- M.Ed. or Ph.D. in Educational Psychology or closely related field
Industrial Organizational Psychology
- Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (ALL PROGRAMS):
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
- A record of mentoring students
- Experience teaching online
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
