Part Time Instructor - Teacher Education - Special Education
Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in the following areas:
- Special Education (Generalist K-12)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Early Childhood Special Education (Developmentally Delayed)
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,000 per credit hour. Courses range from 1-3 credits.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education.
- Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience teaching children in K-12.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and technology skills.
- Commitment to active learning and teaching strategies.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Special Education.
- Previous teaching experience with undergraduate students.
- Relevant experience in K-12 settings.
- Experience in web-based coursework.
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
