Part - Time Instructor, Welding Technology - FY 2026
Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Welding Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Welding Technology courses
- Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions
- Develop syllabi and course materials. Instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives
- Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
- Provide advisement to students
- Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested
Required Qualifications
5 years of work-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
CWE, CWI, SCWI, NDT Certifications, NCCER Instructor Credentials, OSHA 10, 30
Welding Technology degree
One year equivalent full time teaching experience
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Schedule: Welding Technology courses are taught at the CSN Henderson Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester
Exempt: Yes
Full-Time Equivalent: 47.5%
