Part Time Instructor - Women's Studies
Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person and online courses in WMST 101: Introduction to Women's Studies.
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 per credit hour. Courses are 3 credits.

Core Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate WMST courses in accordance with established course objectives and departmental standards.
- Prepare and deliver engaging instruction that promotes student learning and academic success.
- Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, assessments, and grading criteria as appropriate.
- Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
- Collaborate with department faculty and staff as needed to support program and student success.
Required Qualifications:
- M.A in social sciences with relevant graduate coursework in Women's and Gender studies.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, educational excellence, and mentoring undergraduate students.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.A or Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies, or closely related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching.
- Previous teaching experience.
