Job Duties

• Teach Introduction to Social Work and Human Services courses (SWHS 1)
• Teach Social Work and Human Services Seminar (SWHS 10)
• Facilitate as needed Social Work and Human Services Seminar (SWHS 95)
• Maintain office hours.
• Engage in professional development activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications of an Interdisciplinary Studies (Social Work and Human Services) faculty discipline at the college. Please refer to the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook to review the minimum qualifications for faculty disciplines.

The locally defined minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

Master's Degree in Human Services or Social Work

OR

Master's Degree in Sociology or Psychology AND 12 units of upper division or graduate coursework in Counseling.

OR the equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Social Work (MSW) and experience teaching community college courses.
