We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's diverse student body as a Part-Time Lecturer of the University College beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year.
The University College at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking applications for a Part-Time (adjunct) Lecturer to teach UNIV 1301 - Foundations of Academic and Career Success. This first-year course, which is a part of UTRGV's Student Success and Retention Initiatives, focuses on research-based findings, sense of belonging, academic success, critical self-reflection, and adaptable career planning as applied to a first-year student's university experience.
The position is a part-time appointment beginning in the Fall of 2026. The selected applicant(s) may teach multiple sections of UNIV 1301 - Foundations of Academic and Career Success using research-based teaching methodologies. S/He will be expected to teach on both or either the Edinburg and/or Brownsville campuses.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must have a Master's degree, demonstrated knowledge of best practices in teaching, and one year of experience working with students is required.
