Part-time Lecturer in Classical Studies (non-tenure-track)
The Department of Classical Studies at Tufts University is seeking applicants for a one-year part-time Lectureship beginning September 1, 2026. Teaching responsibilities for this position will consist of two courses in the fall semester (Intermediate Latin and Classical Mythology) and one course TBD in spring 2027. The department seeks Classicists in any field of specialization with an innovative and thoughtful approach to teaching designed to engage the broadest range of students in the study of the Ancient World. We are particularly interested in teaching that will invite interdisciplinary engagement with other fields, expand the academic horizons within the department, and attract students to the study of Antiquity.
A Ph.D. by July 1, 2026 is preferred; ABD will be considered.
