Job Description
The Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship is seeking a patient, customer-service oriented professional with exceptional organizational skills to support the delivery of undergraduate research & creative scholarship experiences across the university. The individual must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with students, staff, and faculty across units. Specific job duties include
- Manage records for the program's academic, financial, and administrative files. Maintain confidentiality while creating, filing, and retrieving records.
- Compile reports for internal and external review. Gather, validate, and analyze data before formatting and distributing reports.
- Process financial transactions for the program.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including room reservations, equipment rental, catering, and print materials.
- Work on site to stage equipment, set up materials, check-in presenters, welcome visitors, provide information, run A/V for presentations, troubleshoot issues, and pack gear at the end of the day.
- The program hosts three annual research symposia, as well as monthly workshops, and ad hoc events.
- Coordinate hiring and oversee biweekly time sheet approval for part-time student employees.
- Contribute to writing, editing, and layout of print and digital materials, including abstract books, programs, newsletters, and flyers.
- Leverage technology to perform work effectively and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $15.00 - $19.58 per hour
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
