SUMMARY

Under administrative leadership, it is the responsibility of part time faculty to perform tasks which support advancement of the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Part time faculty have responsibilities in regards to their classroom assignment, evaluation of students, curriculum, student advising, professional development, and any assignment-specific needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, OR
• The equivalent.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The UMOJA Adjunct Counselor serves as a generalist and a regular member of the Counseling Department faculty committed to the academic success, personal growth, and self-actualization of African American and other students. This entails providing counseling services related to transfer, vocational/occupational programs, career and academic skills development.
