Department of Social Work: Part-time Research Assistant (One Position for 12 Months)

Job Duties:

The RA will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) to conduct the research project entitled “Exploring the Role of Social Capital in Community-Based Sharing: The Case of Community Living Room (URG/25/08),” which is funded by the Hong Kong Shue Yan University’s University Research Fund. The appointee will be responsible for the following tasks:

a. Assisting with literature review

b. Liaising with research collaborators and partners

c. Conducting interviews

d. Drafting research report

e. Other assigned duties

Requirements:

Applicants should have: A bachelor degree in social sciences or a related discipline (preferred). Knowledge in qualitative research methods. Proficiency in computer software applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese. The appointment will be made on the basis of a one-year contract, with a possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement and funding availability. The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
