"Part-time Teaching Position: Social Networks in the Contemporary Chinese Society"

Responsibilities:

The appointee is expected to (i) teach a master-level course (Social Networks in the Contemporary Chinese Society); (ii) provide assistance in the design, preparation, and revision of syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials; and (iii) perform other related duties of the course as assigned by the Academy Director.

Requirements:

Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree with a strong background in sociology or a related field. A proven track record in teaching at the tertiary level is preferred. Fluent English and good organisational and communication skills are required.

Applicants are required to (i) specify how their qualifications match the above requirements in an English cover letter and CV; and (ii) provide their latest teaching evaluation reports and supporting documents with their application.

The initial appointment will be made on a part-time contract basis, commencing in Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2025-26. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review and course availability.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
