Patrol Officer

Job Summary

Completes all university and Indiana state law required training and receive necessary certifications to independently perform the duties and responsibilities of Patrol Officer - Intermediate.
Assists experienced patrol officers and other public safety staff as needed to gain field experience.
Demonstrates ability to independently patrol (solo patrol status) upon completion of training and attainment of certifications.

Required

Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire.
Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) eligible upon date of hire.
Complete all required annual law enforcement training and attain required certifications as prescribed by Indiana state law and the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board (ILETB) within 1 year from date of hire.
Attain university required certifications in CPR, AED, Blood Borne Pathogens, IDACS, etc, within 1 year from date of hire
Attain firearms qualification within 1 year from date of hire.
