Pediatric Ophthalmologist - Associate Professor - Academic Clinician Track (CHOP)
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Glaucoma and/or 5+ years of clinical experience treating complex pediatric glaucoma is preferred.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pediatric ophthalmology fellows, ophthalmology and pediatric residents, and medical students.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical and surgical activity at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in outpatient and inpatient settings. The clinical practice will focus on medical and surgical management of newborn, pediatric, and adolescent patients and will include extended evening hours and/or weekend sessions and on-call responsibilities. Clinical practice will also include outpatient clinics and outpatient surgery at CHOP Ambulatory Specialty Centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the CHOP Ambulatory Specialty Care Centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the CHOP Primary and Secondary Region, as well as the primary CHOP hospital site. Responsibilities may include evening/weekend on call assignments.
