Job Summary
The Pediatric Rehabilitation Psychology & Neuropsychology Program within the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Pediatric (or Rehabilitation) Psychologist. This position involves direct clinical care, teaching, supervision, and program development, with a focus on providing integrated behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families seen in the Spina Bifida/Spinal Cord Injury multidisciplinary clinic, the Spina Bifida Teen Transition multidisciplinary clinic, and the Rehabilitation Psychology outpatient program.
The position includes a faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, with academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide integrated behavioral health services in the Spina Bifida/Spinal Cord Injury clinic and Spina Bifida Teen Transition clinic, including psychosocial screening, brief intervention, and the development and implementation of behavioral health treatment plans.
- Provide direct evidence-based interventions to youth with acute and chronic injuries or illnesses, including diagnostic evaluations and individual, family, and/or group therapy.
- Consult with rehabilitation medicine teams to address behavioral health and environmental factors that impact child well-being, quality of life, injury recovery, and adjustment to chronic health conditions.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external providers involved in patient's care.
- Supervise, teach, and mentor psychology and neuropsychology trainees (externs, interns, fellows), as well as medical trainees.
- Engage in research, scholarship, and/or quality improvement projects.
- Serve on committees, task forces, and/or workgroups.
Work Location
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.
