Performance Administrator
The University's Centre for Music Performance (CMP) is seeking a Performance Administrator to join our dynamic and supportive team. This opportunity is open to current University of Cambridge employees only.
About the division / school
The CMP is an umbrella organisation which enables students of all subjects, backgrounds and levels of musical ability to make extracurricular music - in all its forms - a core part of life here, thereby enriching the holistic educational experience on offer at Cambridge. It is dedicated to strengthening further opportunities on offer for the university's most able performers, developing a new programme of entry level opportunities for musical beginners, and enhancing support for the thriving ecosystem of student-led music-making.
The Role:
The Centre for Music Performance enables students of all subjects, backgrounds and levels of musical ability to make music in all its forms a core part of the experience of studying at Cambridge, thereby helping them to discover and nurture their passions and to flourish as rounded individuals.
The Performance Assistant coordinates the delivering of a broad range of musical activity, some of which is run directly by the Centre and some facilitated in partnership with other groups.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced administrator to support the operational delivery of musical activities within a professional or educational setting. The ideal candidate will combine high musical literacy with a practical, proven track record in planning and delivering music projects.
Applicants should hold GCSEs (Grades A*-C / 9-4), an NVQ Level 2, or equivalent practical experience, alongside excellent IT skills.
