PhD in Geospatial Data Science - The Dynamics of Cities
About the Project
This PhD offers a 3-year fully funded research project into the dynamics of cities, as part of the Geospatial Data Science Group.
Our growing inter-disciplinary team (of approx. 40 researchers) harnesses the power of geospatial data to provide solutions for key challenges relating to urban systems and the future of cities. We are looking for a motivated individual to employ statistical or mathematical modelling to understand the role of minority groups in shaping and defining urban environments. This research will support a research agenda concerning inequalities and deprivation in urban contexts. Applicants need not have direct experience of these themes, but should be able to demonstrate the applicability of their skills to this area.
This PhD is a 3-year fully funded position, available for the UK, EU and international applicants.
