Job Information
- Organisation/Company: hte GmbH the high throughput experimentation company
- Research Field: Chemistry » Inorganic chemistry; Chemistry » Heterogeneous catalysis
Offer Description
Research on sustainable catalyst synthesis routes based on mechanochemistry and benchmarking against conventional synthesis methods. Catalyst materials will be characterized and tested in catalytic reactions to assess performance, stability, and structure-property relationships. The results will be analysed to quantify energy savings, scalability potential, and sustainability benefits. Expected outcomes include comparable or improved catalytic performance, reduced energy consumption during synthesis, and validation of mechanochemistry as a viable and industrially relevant approach for sustainable catalyst production.

Requirements
- Research Field: Chemistry » Inorganic chemistry
- Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with a MsC degree in catalysis or in the field of materials science, with excellent skills in the field of materials synthesis, characterization and testing. You can contribute to excellence in at least two of the following catalysis associated research domains:
- materials synthesis via new and innovative synthetic approaches, particularly mechanochemical routes
- physicochemical characterization of catalytic materials
- evaluation of materials properties and catalytic performance
You are driven to address fundamental research questions while developing catalysts with advanced performance in target applications. A key challenge will be identifying efficient synthesis pathways using mechanochemistry and evaluating the catalytic performance of resulting materials. By analysing catalytic performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability metrics, you will contribute to demonstrating mechanochemistry can be a viable and sustainable alternative for catalyst synthesis, bridging catalysis, inorganic chemistry, and process engineering.
